Hello, again.
It was Winter Solstice 2018, the day I launched my blog. And by launched I mean went live with my website, switched my Instagram account to a business page, and said ok, here I am and I’m ready to talk. I posted for a short while, then I went silent, my blog went dark.
Sure I have big reasons, big life-changing reasons that hit me in 2019 like a steamroller and then backed over me again in 2020. I’ll be getting to those reasons, those reasons are still permeating through my life and my soul. I’ll be talking about those events and more.
It is my hope that this is not another false start. I’ve been flexing my voice and writing muscles a bit on my Messy & Mindful Instagram account. Thank you to those of you who have been following me there over the past couple of years. I hope you find more of what keeps us connected here on my blog.
2020 has been a year of goodbyes. One way or another I, and I know many of you, have said goodbye to people. Either they passed away, or perhaps grew distant, or one of you set boundaries that resulted in the end of the relationship. We have also said goodbye to stability, in one way or another, financial, emotional, our routine, tribe or community. And such drastic changes to our daily lives that a loss or grieving process is happening. I’m really tired of saying goodbye, either literally, directly, or passively. In this year of goodbyes I’m saying hello.

A year of many goodbyes and challenges for sure. I’ve admired your willingness to share your successes, tribulations, frustrations and joys. It helps to just know you are not alone and that we can only take life one day at a time. I look forward to reading your insights.
